An Appreciation for the Performing Arts Starts Young!

Dorthy C. Witter

Dorthy C. Witter

LOL Stations is proud to offer families an opportunity to experience the magic of live performances at the NEW Dorthy C. Witter (DCW) Performance Theatre @ LOL Stations!

Throughout her life, Dorthy shared her passion for the theatre by intentionally exposing youth in her personal and social circles to multi-cultural performances in the fine arts.

It started as a teen in a Brooklyn, New York high school, when Dorthy received two free tickets to a Broadway performance of "The King & I".  Of course, she took her younger tag-along sister.   To say they were theater-struck would be an understatement!  Together, they continued to visit Broadway and Off-Broadway performances as often as possible until moving to Maryland.

Dorthy and her sister later went on to create Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Stations MEGA Fun Center as a venue where families and friends could play, eat, and party together and create lasting memories.

On September 7, 2022 at the age of 61, Dorthy passed away after a short battle with colon cancer. But she left her imprint on a number of future LOL Stations projects.  One, specifically, being the development of a theatre for young and family audiences in partnership with TheatreWorksUSA.

On behalf of Dorthy C. Witter, LOL Stations invites you to join us on a journey like no other. Talented professional casts, crews, and stage settings will bring your favorite stories to life on stage. Come for unforgettable experiences!

We are certain, young audiences will leave with the same feeling Dorthy had after her first show...theatre-struck and yearning for more!!
